Preparation ›

› Always work on a solid, sound and nailable surface.

› In case of renovation, the existing roof (shingles/roof tiles or roofing) doesn’t have to be removed. It can serve as a suitable underlay.

› For a new construction, it is always advised to place a bitumen underlay. You can use Glass Fibre 3TT or Easy Shingle underlay.

Roofs with a slope below 10° are not suited for EASY-Cover. A slope of 10° corresponds with a value (=A) of ± 18 cm for every 100 cm of slope (=B). We recommend EasyGum EPDM (rubber) or Bardeauroll for roofs with a slope below 10°.

EASY-Cover installation instructions

1 › Start by attaching the barge boards to both sides of the roof. Always start at the bottom and screw them onto the outside of the roof with a single screw at the bottom of the roof edge.

2 › Continue both sides, spreading and superimposing the barge boards evenly from the chalk line over the entire height and screw them onto the roof at the overlap. The last barge board is screwed 6cm from the highest point.

3 › Draw a horizontal chalk line of +/- 5 cm from the ridge of the roof. This line corresponds with the upper limit of the last row of panels -

4 › Each barge board is equipped with a neutral surface of max. 7,5 cm.
This way we create a neutral space of max. 2 x 7.5 cm (15 cm) on the total width of the roof. This corresponds with the width of one complete tile. This space is used to simplify the proportional distribution of the panels.

Easy-Cover installation instructions

5 › Always work in full rows, from left to right and from bottom to top. Distribute the panels evenly over the width and height of the roof.

6 › Distribute the bottom row of panels evenly between the barge boards and screw them onto the bottom by using two screws. Always screw into the hollow of the tile wave and approx. 2 cm below the vertical edge.

Easy-Cover installation instructions

7 › Use the total width of the panel (= 5 tiles) and always place the panel ON the foreseen channel/closure of the previous plate.

8 › The last panel can be slid under and attached to the second last panel if necessary.

9 › Then we start with the next row in the same way. The top row of panels must be positioned at approx. 5 cm from the ridge of the roof (chalk line) so that the ridge can be placed later on. Each plate must be screwed on by using the fastening system provided, using approx. 6 screws per panel.

10 › Close the ends of the ridge with the end cap for ridge (locking piece/ridge cover). Position the V-shaped cap at the same level as the top of the ridge and secure it. Fold over the two top pieces in the direction of the roof.

11 › Distribute the ridge pieces evenly along the entire length and secure them on the ends of the two barge boards and on every overlap.

Congratulations! Your EASY-Cover roof is done!
